Fertility Testing
Fertility issues can only be treated effectively when you know the root cause. Conventional medicine can diagnose conditions such as PCOS, Endometriosis, Fibroids, Sperm issues and more – but in most cases it doesn’t know why these are happening. The ‘why’ is the root cause, and this is the crucial part to help you overcome your fertility issues – and that’s where Classical Chinese Medicine could help you.
Medical tests and investigations allow us to identify physical problems that are affecting fertility health.
A diagnosis of PCOS, Endometriosis, Fibroids, Polyps, Cysts, Blocked Fallopian Tubes, Sperm issues, Hormonal imbalance, or any other fertility issue, tells us what is physically presenting itself.
But, it does not explain the root cause – the reason why.
Knowing that you have an issue such as fibroids will always be helpful. But until you know why you have the fibroids (the unique cause of them being in your body) you can’t properly treat them.
Yes – surgery is an option, but the fibroids or other problem (cysts, polyps, endometriosis, testicular varicocele etc) will typically return with a few months or years.
The reason for their return is that the physical issue (fibroid) was removed, but the root cause was not addressed. The issue that created them in the first place was not treated.
The fibroid is actually just a symptom or manifestation of a deeper root health imbalance.
Until this deeper cause is identified it’s hard to change the internal balance of your body, and create a healthier and more fertile environment.
So, what’s the solution?
There are 3 key actions I recommend to take:
1. Find whether there is a physical issue presenting itself through detailed fertility medical testing (test lists are below).
2. Find the root cause of why your particular issue is presenting itself through a detailed root cause health assessment.
3. Combine the findings of the fertility tests, and the root cause assessment into one complete diagnosis. This will allow you to effectively treat the root issue to balance and optimise your natural fertility.
This is the optimum strategy, whether you’re trying naturally or with IVF.
How can you do this?
I recommend Classical Chinese Medicine (CCM), which is what I’ve been using for more than 21 years to help my clients find the root of their issues to get pregnant and have their healthy babies.
When you combine CCM with conventional medicine testing, you can see what’s physically presenting itself and also the root cause of it.
Conventional medicine focuses on symptoms and presentation of the physical aspects of the body.
Classical Chinese medicine (not TCM) focuses on understanding the deeper root balance of your health.
Both systems support each other, and together they can find the physical issues, and the root cause of why you’re not getting pregnant, or staying pregnant.
Below are posts on fertility testing for women and men.
Fertility testing for women is a complex area as there are so many tests to choose from.
To simplify this a little I have listed the most commonly used tests into 7 specific categories of fertility tests.
This will help you decide more easily which fertility tests are important for you, and when you should do them. The fertility tests related to hormone balance must be completed at specific cycle times, which is also mentioned for clarity.
